For medium to large server rooms, the Dimkisol ventilation ceiling is the ideal solution for cooling of server rooms. Thanks to the special Dimkisol perforation, a large amount of cooled air is injected at a low air velocity, ensuring uniform distribution of cool air over the entire space. This eliminates drafts or dust displacement, which is important for both the operation of the equipment and maintenance, and it guarantees energy-efficient and quiet operation, ideal for data centers and server rooms.

Operation and integration of the ceiling system

The plenum above the ceiling is filled with cold air, and due to the overpressure principle, this air is blown into the room via the ceiling tiles. Cutouts for lighting, sensors, sprinklers, and other technologies can be easily provided in the ceiling, allowing for quick and neat installation. The return air is exhausted to the technical room via grilles or ducts. For larger areas, multiple air handling units are usually used, calculating how many square meters can be served by one unit per zone, and thanks to airtight partitions, each zone remains perfectly controllable. To also optimize the acoustics in the server room, non-active ceiling tiles can be fitted with sound-absorbing mineral wool mats.
