How does a water-based climate ceiling work?

The Dimkisol climate ceiling consists of metal slats measuring 39 x 31 x 39 mm, equipped with integrated piping for hot or cold water of the Dimkisol Flex5 type.

The water brings the slats to the desired temperature, The heat or coolness then distributes evenly throughout the room.

During heating, the slats radiate heat to the floor, walls, furniture and people.
During cooling, the slats absorb heat from the room and discharge it via the water.

Because the system works primarily with radiant heating and radiant cooling, it creates a gentle and comfortable climate control. Not only the air, but also the surfaces and objects in the room are affected in a pleasant way.

The metal slats are spaced 22 mm apart. A connecting profile conceals the supporting structure and the ceiling above. This creates a sleek, calm and continuous ceiling appearance.

The open ceiling structure provides space to integrate various technical systems into a single architectural concept. Lighting and acoustic solutions can be discreetly integrated between or above the slats.

This keeps the technical systems out of sight, whilst fully preserving the ceiling’s characteristic interplay of lines.

Free choice of colors and RAL combinations

The Dimkisol climate ceiling can be tailored to the architecture and interior vision of any project. The slats and intermediate slats are separately available in different colors and can be provided in any desired RAL color.

The standard designs are:

Type 1 : Slats White - Intermediate Slats White
Type 2 : Slats Black - Intermediate Slats Black
Type 3 : Slats White - Intermediate Slats Black
Type 4 : Slats Black - Intermediate Slats White

In addition to these standard combinations, project-specific RAL colour combinations are also possible. This means the climate ceiling fits equally well in minimalist interiors and in bold architectural designs.

Integrated LED lighting

Good lighting is essential for comfort, functionality and ambience. That is why LED lighting can be seamlessly integrated into the Dim climate ceiling.

The fixtures are fitted neatly between the slats. As a result, the lighting and ceiling form a single harmonious whole. The slim design complements the lines of the slatted ceiling whilst ensuring even light distribution.

The LED lighting is available in:

3000K for a warm, atmosphere-creating light colour.
4000K for a more neutral, functional light colour.

Thanks to the practical spring system, the light fixtures can be quickly fitted and dismantled. This makes installation, maintenance and any replacement simple and efficient.

Combining the climate ceiling with a heat pump

The Dim-Climate Ceiling can be combined with an air-to-water heat pump. This creates a complete climate control system in which the heat pump generates the energy and the ceiling comfortably distributes heat or cool air throughout the room.

A water-based climate ceiling operates with relatively small temperature differences. As a result, it is well suited to low-temperature heating systems and renewable energy generation.
